This was my first venture into the world of Music Video work! I worked with my friend and DP Aaron Butwinick, and Lauren Black, the lead singer/songwriter from Lu Lagoon to put this project together. I wrote the screenplay, and directed the project. We all talked about conveying the message of the song “Birds Fly West” in a way that felt aetherial, mystical, and visually unique. We landed on the idea revolving around the core of song: a theme of not fitting in, but standing out. The idea of being in a relationship and not realizing how unhappy you are until you are away from it.
